Congratulations! The Women’s Basketball Team Won Second Place in the UBA University Basketball League Open Women’s Division.

The 113th Academic Year UBA University Basketball League Women's Division I Championship Game Concludes Today
Fo Guang University returned to the championship game after a six-year hiatus. Although they fell short with a final score of 53–86 against the dominant Chinese Culture University, they secured a well-earned runner-up finish, marking their best performance in the past six years. This also stands as a milestone achievement for Head Coach Yang Shu-Ching since taking over the team.

Chinese Culture University entered this season aiming for their 20th championship title, and their strength showed throughout the game. Fo Guang struggled to gain ground in the paint against their physically imposing opponent and ultimately couldn't disrupt Culture’s path to victory. Still, the Fo Guang women’s team did not lose heart—Chen Ting-Chi, Huang Yu-Ting, and Li Yi-Hua all scored in double digits with 14, 11, and 12 points respectively, embodying the team’s unrelenting fighting spirit.

At the post-game press conference, Coach Yang Shu-Ching praised her players for their season-long dedication. While she expressed some regret about not being able to perform at their peak in the final, she emphasized the team's growth. In a heartfelt moment, Huang Yu-Ting addressed Coach Yang directly: “Let’s come back together next year and take on the impossible mission once again!”—showcasing the team's determination to rise even higher.
